Southern Hospitality
Sarah Martens brought her collection of Beanie Babies to Pass Christian. She wanted to donate them to children here. She brought them to the Good will Missionary Baptist Church where her donation was graciously accepted by Billy Morgan, an MDS home owner and member of the church. The toys are now in the church nursery.
The framing crew enjoys the break from work in the shade underneath the house they are building.
The crew is hard at work sheeting the walls they framed earlier in the week. They are actually building a house from the ground up!
The Baptist Church hosted us for lunch today. They feed all the area volunteers every wednesday.
The pastor invited us to attend their service in the evening. It was a Southern Baptist revival meeting complete with Gospel singing, clapping, Amens and a preacher like most of us have never heard before. Wow!
After the service, we were asked to sing for the people who had stayed to visit with us.

A special thanks to Jim and Jessica for this blog(I hear she's Jim's favorite student-go Jessica!). It is so nice to be able to see what everyone is up to. People who ask me about Rachel are impressed at the experiences RJC offers to students.

Could we see some photographs of the sleeping area's .... maybe one of Jon's because I know his bed will be made tighter than a drum and his underwear won't be on the floor.
