On October 1st
Principal Jim Epp marked the turning of the calendar by addressing the student
body in chapel. With one month of
the school year behind us, his thoughts turned to a passage from Colossians
3:12-17 in which the faithful are encouraged to “bear with each other”. It was a timely message as we continue
the work of building our school community.
On Oct. 2nd
The Faith and Life Committee challenged students to build trust in one
another. Students were randomly
paired, and given a blindfold. In
turn, each student was led, by verbal commands, blindfolded through an obstacle
course, complete with stairs and jumps!
Everyone completed the course safely (much to Ms. Kuny’s delight as she
supervised the ‘leap of faith’ section of the course), and students took one
more step toward trusting one another.
